Data used to fulfil a request
The service validates your submitted link into a YouTube video ID. Jobs store that ID, source metadata, selected formats, status and temporary file details outside the public website directory. The worker contacts YouTube and its media delivery infrastructure to retrieve the requested public content.
A session cookie associates requests and downloads with your browser. A request token helps prevent cross-site submissions. These are necessary for the workflow; the supplied site does not use advertising cookies, analytics, accounts or mailing lists.
Rate limiting uses a keyed hash derived from your IP address rather than storing the raw address in the application’s rate-limit records. Temporary counters and job records are removed by scheduled cleanup. A hash is a pseudonymous identifier, not a claim of perfect anonymity.
The essential cookie lasts for the browser session. Server-side session records expire after two hours of inactivity. Rate-limit counters are cleared after their windows expire during requests or worker maintenance.
Temporary storage and cleanup
Ready files expire 30 minutes after processing finishes. Expired links stop working even if deletion has not yet run. The cleanup task removes expired files and abandoned job data; its documented schedule must remain enabled.
Analysis options expire after 15 minutes. Worker maintenance runs about every 30 seconds. After a job expires, fails or is cancelled, cleanup deletes its media and clears the video ID, title and formats. A minimal record containing the opaque job ID, session ownership and terminal status can remain for up to 24 hours so the interface can explain what happened.
Application diagnostics are kept only for operation and troubleshooting, with a configured retention of 7 days. Hosting and reverse-proxy access logs may contain IP addresses; the operator must review their settings and retention before launch. Do not submit sensitive data in the link field.
Your choices and enquiries
You can cancel a pending job, avoid submitting a link, or clear your browser’s site data. Clearing the session cookie can prevent access to an existing job. A file you have already saved remains on your own device until you delete it.
Contact the privacy address above to ask about data handling or make a request concerning your data. The operator must add any jurisdiction-specific disclosures and hosting-provider details that apply to its actual service. No such operator details have been invented in this project.
Other services
YouTube controls the original videos and its own services. External links lead to sites with separate policies. The supplied pages do not embed a YouTube video player. If the operator adds analytics, advertising, a CDN or a new service provider, this notice must be reviewed before that change launches.
After successful analysis, your browser loads the video thumbnail directly from Google’s image host at i.ytimg.com. That host receives your IP address and ordinary browser request information. The site uses a no-referrer policy, so the referring page address is not sent with that image request.
