Why is the resolution I want unavailable?

A downloader can only offer formats the source supplies and the backend supports. The highest number you remember seeing in a player isn’t a guarantee that the same option is available to this request.

The source sets the starting point

A lower-resolution upload does not contain a hidden higher-resolution original that a download tool can recover. Newly uploaded videos may also have some encodings available before others finish processing.

Wait and check again if the upload is recent. EmberSave does not upscale a smaller stream or label it as a higher-quality download.

The quality may use a different stream or container

Higher-quality video can be delivered separately from its audio, and different encodings may be available in different containers. A requested MP4 option depends on compatible streams; a quality available as WebM may not also be offered as MP4.

Choose from the available list rather than changing the file extension. The output format label reflects the file the worker will create.

Server limits narrow the options

This server offers at most 1080p and caps outputs at 500 MiB. The source duration limit is 30 minutes. Options may be excluded if they exceed a limit or require unsupported codecs.

Public videos can also be restricted or temporarily unavailable to the server. Repeated submissions do not make a hidden or unsupported quality appear.

For Shorts, read the dimensions too

A vertical video has a different width-to-height relationship from a landscape video. A dimension label is more informative than assuming that every quality name describes a wide frame. The tool preserves the source orientation.
