Why does my downloaded video have no sound?

The most useful first check is the format you selected. A video stream can contain the picture without any audio, while another stream carries the sound.

Check whether the option included audio

Some sources deliver picture and sound separately. A video-only file plays silently by design. In EmberSave, choose an option labeled with audio. When a supported option needs separate streams, the worker combines them before showing the ready state.

If the job failed while merging, don’t treat a partial file as the finished download. Submit the link again and choose another compatible format if one is offered.

Check the original and the volume controls

Play the original video on YouTube and confirm it has sound. Check the player’s mute control, device volume and selected audio output. Bluetooth headphones or another output device can make working audio seem absent.

The downloader cannot create sound that is missing from the original source. A different format won’t restore an audio track the video never supplied.

Try a player that supports the file’s codecs

MP4 and WebM are containers. The video and audio codecs inside still need player support. If one player is silent, test the same completed file in another compatible player or choose a different listed option with audio.

Changing a filename from .webm to .mp4 does not convert the file and does not repair sound. EmberSave keeps the actual output container.

A quick order to follow

1. Confirm source sound

Listen to the original and check volume and output settings.

2. Confirm the audio label

Prepare a supported option marked with audio and wait for ready.

3. Test the completed file

Check another compatible player. If the failure persists, report the format and the visible job error.
